More power
While for most Amp2 and Beocreate users, the Meanwell 18V/65W power supply is a good choice, we wanted to offer something also to users might need the last bit of power from our amplifier boards. It was a long journey to find a manufacturer that could create power supplies according to our specifications. Important was not only that the power supplies can easily handle the full power, but also have integrate power factor correction and low ripple&noise figures – even at full load. Finally, we found a manufacturer that could do this and now the are available:
The HiFiBerry Power 80 and HiFiBerry Power 180 can provide 80W respective 180W. While the 80W type is a good choice for most scenarios, the 180W version can be used in case somebody really need to get the last bit of power out of the Beocreate 4-channel amplifier. For most speakers – even with the Beocreate 4 channel amplifier the 80W type is powerful enough.
