The new Amp3
As you might have noticed already, the Amp2 is barely available today. Due to the challenging situation on the chip market we’re not able to manufacture it today. However, there’s an alternative now: The new Amp3. It uses a completely new design.
One major advantage of the Amp3 is the DSP connector. As with the DAC2 Pro, Digi2 Pro and Amp100, you can now add our DSP add-on also to the Amp3 and use it to run sound optimisations independent from the player software. With HiFiBerryOS, we also offer automatic room equalisation.
Please also note that there is still work on the Amp3 drivers. While it will work with Raspberry Pi OS, we strongly recommend to use HiFiBerryOS during this beta test.
