WLAN problems with RPI3
We received some reports of WLAN problems with the HiFiBerry DAC+ Pro. After several hours of testing a lot of different releases with different HiFiBerry sound cards, we can confirm that there is some kind of problem with the DAC+ Pro and the onboard WLAN. While it seems to work for some users it isn’t for others.
The problem only affects the HiFiBerry DAC+ Pro and only the onboard WLAN module of the Raspberry Pi 3.
You have can use the following workarounds:
- Use the Ethernet interface instead of the onboard WLAN
- Use an external USB WLAN stick
Update December 2016:
The problem seems to occur only on specific WiFi channels. As a fix you can set your WLAN to a fixed channel other than the channels 1, 6, 11 and 14.
